CMAT 2018 Exam Analysis
CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) was held on January 28, 2017 from 9.30AM to 12.30PM. CMAT Exam Analysis 2017
CMAT 2017 was conducted in just one slot which was from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, So from a individual’s perspective the section Language comprehension and General Awareness was quite difficult but the other two sections Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning was in comparison easy and feasible.
From the point of view with the two candidates who have secured 100 percentile there is no word like difficulty… well, joke a part but the difficulty level was as mentioned above.

CMAT QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES AND DATA INTERPRETATION
Number system and Arithmetic considerably magisterial section because in this section %0% of the questions were made from there two topics. Geometry and Mensuration raised 3 to 4 questions and rests were from Algebra. There was on Data Interpretation question which was in the form of pie chart. The difficulty level of this section was easy to bearable and was easy to crack. A good appear in this section is assumed to attempt approx. 21 to 23 questions.
CMAT LOGICAL REASONING ANALYSIS
This section was quite easy to crack the entire question from Verbal as well as Analytical Reasoning. There were 3 questions taken from verbal reasoning including one each on Strengthen/Weaken Argument, Syllogism and Statement/Conclusion type. There section was mainly dominated by puzzles and conditionality/grouping questions. A general overview of this section is as follows.
· 8 questions from Puzzles
· 8 questions from conditionality
· 3 from family tree
· 3 from Data based
· 1 from Strengthen or weaken argument
· 1 from syllogism
· 1 from statement/conclusion
CMAT LANGUAGE COMPHREHENSION
This section was almost similar with the last year’s exam. There were 4 passages in which there were 15 questions.
Three of the passages were of approximately 200 to 300 words (contained 3 question) that’s why it was short and rest of the passage was of 500 words (contained 6 questions)so it was comparatively large. The Language comprehension was difficult to solve as compared with other sections of the examination. The long passage was on ‘Film Critique Clubs’ and the questions were of easy-to-medium difficulty level. Some were related to the passage structure and title. The three short passages were on ‘Organisational Effectiveness’, ‘Financial Accounting’ and ‘Civil Servants’.
The general overview is as follows:
· 15 questions from RC
· 2 questions from Cause/Effect and Fact/Inference/Judgment
· 1 question for Synonyms
· 4 questions from FIB – 3 single and 1 double
· 1 question from Idiom-based
CMAT GENERAL AWARENESS
Around 15 questions were passive but the remaining was variable and they were all from current affairs. The questions were made from the area science, biology, geography, sports, literature, business and economics.
Those peoples who have pre analyzed all this aspect has already topped CMAT 2017 and scored good. So it will surely help you in further examination if you analyze all this fields in advance.
