MAT Exam 2017: Application Fee, Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus Admit Card
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) at various centers/locations across India for admissions to Management courses- MBA, PGDBM, Post Graduate Management Programs etc. Every year, MAT is conducted four times, usually on the first Sundays of February, May, September, and December. It is a standardized test, administered since 28 years i.e., 1988 to facilitate B-Schools in India to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. The Government of India, Ministry of HRD approved Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as a national level test in 2003. Any Management/B-School, national or international, can consider MAT scores as an admission input, totally based on the scores received by the candidates. One of the largest tests of its kind, MAT will continue to be your entry to over 600+ B-Schools across India.
Candidates, who wish to apply for the MAT exam, can apply online. The relevant link for submitting the application in the official website of MAT is https://www.aima.in/. The MAT forms are available on AIMA website four times in a year i.e., in the month of February, May, September, December. After submitting the application form, candidate gets an acknowledgment slip (human identified acknowledgment slip). On receiving the slip, the candidate is assured that the form is filled and verified correctly.
Candidates need to follow below-mentioned steps to apply for MAT 2019
If you wish to register for MAT 2019, you need to visit its official website https://www.aima.in/ and click on “Click Here to Apply Online”. You are required to fill all the details and click on the submit button. After registration, you will be able to login to your account through your Email ID and Date of Birth.
Login to your account with your Email ID and Date of Birth. Once you are logged in, you will see four options available - fill application, uploading scanned images, making payment and getting printout of the application.
Next step- click on “Fill Application” option. You will find a form displayed on the screen. Fill details including personal, educational, exam centre and other required details in the form.
Click on the “Uploading of Photograph/Signature” option. Click on the “Browse” button to upload your signature and photograph.
Click on the “Make Payment” option and select the payment mode. Accept the declaration and click on “Submit” button.
After completing all the steps, take printout of the filled application form. Keep this printout safe for future references.
In offline mode, candidates are to obtain the application form along with MAT bulletin/CD from All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi through cash payment. Candidates who are making payment through demand draft (DD) need to send their application form printout along with the demand draft to the address mentioned below:

The application fee for MAT 2019 is Rs. 1200. There is no concession on fees for the candidates belonging to any reserved category. Candidates can pay the exam fee through credit card/ debit card, Net banking, Demand draft (DD) or by cash.
Note: In case of a ‘Demand Draft’ payment option, it should be in favor of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi.

Ø The applicant should be a graduate from any UGC approved University/ Institute in India from any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts, Engineering, IT etc)
Ø Final year students are also eligible to apply
Ø The applicant must have minimum 50% marks in graduation (Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST category must have minimum 45% marks in Graduation)
Ø There is no age bar to attend MAT exam, likewise there is no limit on number of attempts for the exam.
Ø Exam Type: MAT exams are held in both - Online and Offline mode
Ø Marks division: There are 200 questions with a time limit of 150 minutes. +1 mark for each correct answer and -0.25 i.e., 1/4th negative mark for each wrong answer.
Ø The question paper will consist of 5 sections - Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Data Sufficiency, Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment.
