The raw score is calculated section-wise based on (+) 3 points for a correct answer (–) 1 for a wrong answer and no marking for unanswered questions. The raw scores are then adjusted through a process called equating, and then finally the equated raw scores are placed on a common scale or metric to ensure appropriate interpretation of the scores and this process is called scaling.
