There is no change in CAT Eligibility Criteria for General and Reserved category candidates. CAT exam date is November 27 and the last date to apply is September 14. IIM Kozhikode CAT Notification released on August 3,in newspapers has kept the CAT eligibility criteria similar to last year criteria. The only change in CAT eligibility is the date of qualifying exam. The CAT eligibility defines different percentage of marks in the qualifying graduation degree for different category of candidates. However, there is no age bar for either category candidates to apply for CAT.
CAT Eligibility for General& NC-OBC Candidates
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates in final year of Graduation additionally qualified to apply for CAT.
If selected, the final year candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if she/he submits Completion of a degree certificate by June, from the Principal/ Registrar of the College/Institute.
· Candidates who have completed any of these professional degrees (CA/CS/ICWA) with 50% marks.
CAT Eligibility for SC/ST/PwD Candidates
Reserved class candidates applying for CAT are eligible if they qualify any one of the following qualifications:
· Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) class candidates need 45% marks in graduation.
· Candidates in the final year of Graduation are additionally qualified to apply for CAT .
· Candidates who have completed any of these professional degrees (CA/CS/ICWA) with 45% marks.

· CAT eligibility does not inflict any age bar to appear in CAT exam.

Clashing point in IIM and CAT Eligibility Criteria

To determine CAT Eligibility in case of CGPA is given and no percentage of marks is shared on the marks-sheet, the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the particular University/Institution. The conversion to percentage of marks from Grades/CGPA would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution. The eligibility criteria for the CAT exam have not undergone significant changes under IIM Kozhikode's administration. The CAT eligibility criteria include several aspirant-friendly updates.
