-
Change in exam pattern: According to the official notification, this year's CAT questionnaire will have fewer MCQs in all sections, while the number of questions requiring the candidate to enter the answer will increase. This change will affect the candidate preparation strategy as they would have done under the old model. In addition to changing the number of question types, the examination pattern remains the same with three sections: verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and quantitative ability, to be solved chronologically. Each section was allocated 60 minutes. The candidate can neither skip nor return to the previous section at any time.
-
Number of test cities: This year, the number of test cities has increased from 144 to 147. New cities and centers have been added to accommodate all CAT candidates in both sessions.
-
Choice of test centers and test sessions: Candidates have the choice between four cities (for the test center) to the list of 147 cities according to their preference. However, applicants are not able to assign test locations based on availability and a test session is randomly assigned.
