Introduction- MAT is a Management Aptitude Test organized in India since 1998 by (AIMA), All India Management Association. MAT examination is conducted for admission to Master of Business Administration and similar programs by over 600 business schools all over India.

MAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

•No limitation on the number of attempts.

•Work experience is not compulsory.

•Students who have already finished or are in the final year of graduation in any discipline are also qualified for MAT.

•Applicants with the same professional degree like CA/CS/ICWA are qualified to apply for the exam.

There are majorly three steps for MAT 2020 registration- All the steps are described below

        •First go to the MAT official website, i.e.

  • Press on “Apply for MAT 2020” to navigate to the submission page of MAT,
  • You have to fill your correct name, date of birth, mobile number and email id to register
  • Fill your academic and personal details in MAT application form
  • Upload the scanned photo, like colored passport size your latest photograph and signature stick to the prescribed format.
  • Pay MAT submission fee using by any mode like Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking or Demand Draft.
  • At last, make sure to recheck all the information and submit the form.

Follow the steps to download MAT Admit Card?

The steps to download MAT admit card is simple; all you have to do is login to website and enter your MAT Registration number, your Email ID on the Admit Card link. The AIMA permits the MAT admit card after 4 PM. Students must download their respective MAT admit card used for paper based MAT exam on the admit card which is suggested by AIMA. Candidates without forgetting must carry their MAT admit card at the day of their MAT examination.

MAT Preparation Tips 2020

The only way to score best marks in MAT examination is hard work and determination. Without these two there is not any short cut to ace in the examination. Students willing to appear in the examination must devote themselves for at least six months. To get fruitful results one must solve as much as mock test papers they can. Apart from this one can also solve previous year questions as well. Below are some tips to practise for MAT exam:

  • Read- One should read newspapers, books, magazines, online blogs, articles as much as they can which help to improve vocabulary and grammar skills.
  • Practise- one must try to solve questions paper, mock papers as well as previous year papers. By doing so you will surely get an idea how the questions appear in the final exams and you can easily attempt the exam.
  • Weightage- You should try to more concentrate on the weightage that is the section which carries majority of marks.
  • Time management– It is the key to try maximum questions in the examination i.e. don’t waste time on tricky questions and try to answer each question within a few seconds.

MAT Exam Day Guidelines

  • The test takers are suggested to reach their selected test centres for MAT exam at least an hour prior to the exam timings.
  • They must have a pen if they are taking the exam in PBT mode.
  • Also, students appearing for MAT exam require carrying below-mentioned documents to the examination hall.

Admit card: There should be two copies (printouts) of MAT admit card, as a digital copy (on mobile phone) will not be allowed.

Identity proof: Take any of these documents with you at the day of exam (in original): Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card and  Aadhar Card Election I-Card.

Proof of Name change(if any): In case if you have changed your name, you will be important to carry a document supporting the change of your name

Caste certificate(if applicable): If you belong to SC/ST/OBC category, then you should to carry caste certificate

  • For each right answer, one mark is rewarded
  • For each incorrect attempt, 0.25 marks are removed
