Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is one of the known B-school exams of India Conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). The MAT examination is a little bit different from other known B-School exams, like CAT, XAT, CMAT. MAT examination offers its aspirants to choose the mode of examination, which are Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), Internet Based Test (IBT). 

Apart from this, MAT examination conducts in multiple session i.e. February, May, September, and December. Candidates have freedom to appear at any of the sessions. (MAT registration for February session 2024 is underway, for more in information contact Book My Colleges on the detail at the end)

MAT exam pattern 

Like other B-School exams MAT is also MCQ based exams. It contains 200 questions and the time duration of the examination is 2.5 hours.

MAT Syllabus 2024

  • Language comprehension: This Section contain of question of verb, noun, pronoun, adjective, adverb, antonyms & synonyms, one word substitution, Idioms/Phrases, vocabulary, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, para jumble and reading comprehension.

  • Intelligence and critical reasoning: This section include question which test analytical and logical reasoning of the candidate, which generally includes topic like family tree, course of action, arrangement, pie chart, calendars, statement conclusions, strong arguments and weak arguments, puzzles, series, blood relations, coding & decoding, visual reasoning, syllogisms and graphs.

  • Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency: This required knowledge of Line Graph, Bar Graph, Case let, Pie Chart, Data Comparison, Quantitative Comparison and Data Sufficiency to solve its question

  • Mathematical Skills: Candidates have to study topics like Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration and Modern Maths to solve questions of this section.

  • Indian and Global Environment: This section required knowledge of static GK and current affairs.
