The CAT Result 2026 is one of the most awaited updates for MBA aspirants across India. Candidates who appeared for the Common Admission Test can check their CAT scorecard, overall percentile, sectional percentile, and scaled scores online through the official CAT website.

The CAT score plays an important role in the MBA admission process at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and several other leading B-schools in India. After the result is declared, candidates should carefully check their scorecard and prepare for the next stages of the admission process.

How to Check CAT Result 2026?

Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their CAT 2026 Result:

Candidates should ensure that the details mentioned on their CAT scorecard are correct and keep the scorecard safely for the admission process.

Details Mentioned in the CAT Scorecard

The CAT scorecard 2026 generally contains important candidate and examination details, including:

• Candidate name and registration details

• Overall CAT score and percentile

• Section-wise scores and percentiles

• Scaled scores

• Other examination-related information

The CAT percentile is particularly important because IIMs and other participating institutes use CAT performance as one of the factors in their shortlisting and admission processes.

What Happens After the CAT Result?

After the declaration of the CAT Result 2026, candidates should focus on the next stage of the MBA admission process. Depending on the institute, shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in one or more selection rounds, such as:

• Written Ability Test (WAT)

• Group Discussion (GD)

• Personal Interview (PI)

Each IIM and B-school follows its own admission policy. Apart from CAT scores, institutes may consider factors such as academic performance, work experience, diversity, and performance in subsequent selection rounds.

CAT Score and MBA Admissions

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is accepted by the IIMs and numerous other management institutes across India. However, the required percentile and selection criteria vary from one institute to another.

Candidates should check the official admission criteria of each B-school before applying. A good CAT percentile can help candidates meet the eligibility or shortlisting requirements of various institutes, but admission decisions are based on the respective institute's complete selection process.
