NMAT 2019 (Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test) is a National level MBA Entrance Exam. It is the gateway for admission into some of the top MBA colleges. NMAT 2019 will be conducted for admission in the upcoming batches i.e. MBA 2020. NMAT is administered by GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council). NMAT 2019 Registration Process and Fees

The NMAT 2019 registration process has been started from 2nd July 2019. The test will be conducted in a 75-day window starting from 4th Oct 2019 to 7th Dec 2019. Candidates have to register for the test before 3rd Oct 2019 to avoid late fees. There is a time period to register after 3rd Oct 2019 till 14th Oct by paying the late registration fee.

  • The first step is creation of the NMAT 2019 Exam Profile. All that is required for the profile creation is name of the candidate, email address and the phone number.
  • Following the creation of the NMAT 2019 Exam Profile, the candidates have to fill the NMAT Exam 2019 Registration form. The Registration form has many different sections such as:

NMAT Exam 2019 Window Dates

Due to the unique system that NMAT follows, the 2-month duration during which the candidate can give the GMAT Exam is divided into windows. Each window lasts for a period of 15 days and the result of the candidates who appear NMAT 2019 Exam during this period is released together. These windows additionally play a role in the normalization procedure which has been a point of contention for several candidates. The window dates for NMAT 2019 Exam are:

  • Window 1: 4th October to 18th October
  • Window 2: 19th October to 2nd November
  • Window 3: 3rd November to 17th November
  • Window 4: 18th November to 2nd December

There has been speculation amongst candidates that the normalization in the first window is generally quite lenient and gets more rigorous as the windows go by.

NMAT 2019 Exam Pattern

NMAT 2019 is a computer-based test. NMAT 2019 exam pattern consists of 3 sections - Language skills, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Skills. The overall test duration is 2 hours. There is an individual time limit for every section. Students can select their order of attempting the test. The question type of NMAT exam is MCQs. Every question carries 3 marks and there is no negative marking for incorrect attempts. Overall, the NMAT 2019 test is of moderate level of difficulty.

Academic qualification

Candidates should have completed their graduation under 10+2+3 or 4 years education pattern from any stream

They should have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate in their final year of graduation

Candidates awaiting results or appearing in the final year examinations are also eligible to apply for NMAT 2019 however, their admission will be on provisional basis till they provide graduation mark sheets and certificate of qualifying the examination

Age limit

GMAC or NMAT participating colleges have not mentioned any age limit criteria for MBA/PGDM admissions

Work Experience

Some of the participating B schools have mentioned that candidates having at least 2-3 years of work experience for final admissions

To be eligible for NMAT 2019 exam a candidate requires:

  • Bachelor's degree or any equivalent degree in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum of 50 % aggregate.
  • Students in their final year of the bachelors can also apply for the exam.
  • Candidates with two or more years of work experience will be preferred for admissions into all full-time programs.

How to prepare for NMAT 2019?

Step 1: Get your basics in place

The first step is to develop a sound understanding of the basic concepts. It is assumed that you accomplish the same at most by 15th August, so that you can spend the remaining time revising. At this stage, you should be able to solve the basic level questions across topics and should be ready to take your first NMAT mock simulating the NMAT exam pattern.

Step 2: Practice Advanced Level problems

The next step in the process is to increase the difficulty level of the questions you are solving. Through this, eventually, you will be able to build a command over the topics. The most important aspect is to continue solving questions religiously. You should aim to complete solving the advanced level problems by 10th September. Meanwhile, you should give your second NMAT mock.

Step 3: Take Mocks

This step has to come about in conjunction with steps 1 and 2 as well as on its own. At this juncture, you should take one NMAT mock every week. Don’t forget to thoroughly analyze every mock. NMAT 2019 Admit Card

  1. After the registration is complete and payment is realized, candidates can download their NMAT by GMAC™ 2019 Admit Card from their NMAT by GMACTM account.
  2. Admit card contains test taker’s registration details and photograph.
  3. The candidates have to produce the admit card along with the necessary IDs and confirmation letter on the day of the test to allow them to take NMAT by GMACTM 2019 exam.

NMAT by GMACTM 2019 Exam Result

NMAT Result 2019 will be announced in the last week of January 2020 and the final NMAT scores will be available from March 31, 2020. NMAT by GMAC Results 2019 are announced in various windows as per the NMAT exams held on different dates (within 4-5 weeks after the exam). The result of NMAT by GMAC is published on the official website only and candidates can check their result/scores with their login details including email ID and password.
