The CMAT or Common Management Admission Test is an online entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses in over 1000 B-schools across India. CMAT is conducted every year in the month of January and the result is declared in February. CMAT 2020 was held on January 19, 2020 in two shifts and the result was announced on February 6, 2020.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterion of CMAT comprises the academic qualifications which the candidates must meet, age criteria and nationality.

  • Academic Qualifications - Those Candidates who are in their final year of their graduation or have completed their graduation, they can apply for CMAT.
     
  • Age Criteria - As per CMAT 2020 eligibility qualification criteria, there is no age limit for those applicants who can appear in the entrance exam.
     
  • Nationality - Only those candidates who are native of India, they can appear for CMAT.

CMAT Application Form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the application form for CAT in online mode tentatively in the first week of November and the last date for filling the form will be the first week of December. In order to fill CMAT application form, applicants will have to follow the steps that are given below:

Step 2 - Register and therefore login to fill the application form

Step 3 - Enter all the mandatory details in the application form of CMAT

Step 4 - Upload the necessary scanned documents

Step 5 - Pay the registration fee for the CMAT

Step 6- Download the application and take a print out of the form

Mode of Payment of Fees

Candidates can pay the fee through different modes such as:

  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • Cash deposited at SBI bank

The fee for the application form of CMAT cannot be paid in cash. If the candidate is willing to pay in cash, they will have to generate Challan by visiting the official website or visit the nearest SBI bank on the following day for the generation of challan.

Marking Scheme for CMAT

 Candidates would be given four marks for each correct question and for each incorrect answer one mark was deducted.

CMAT Admit Card

National Testing Agency will release the admit card online on 15th January. Candidates will be able to download the CMAT admit card by entering the required login details. Candidates would be able to download the admit card of CMAT till the test day. Along with CMAT admit card, candidates must carry with them a valid identity proof to the test centre. The following details are mentioned in the CMAT admit card.

  • Roll number of the candidate
  • Date of the exam
  • Time of the exam
  • Address of the test centre

CMAT Mock Test

The mock test of CMAT is going to be released by NTA ahead of the computer based examination. Candidates can practice from the CMAT mock test and get an idea about the total number of questions that will be asked, how they can navigate between different sections. With an aim to make sure that the candidates can practice well for the examination, NTA will set up the test centers for CMAT mock exam. The officials at the test practice centers will assist the candidates to take up the mock tests.

CMAT Answer Key

The National Testing Agency will release the answer key of CMAT in online mode by 28th January. Candidates will be able to download CMAT answer key by entering the necessary login details. If the candidates find any discrepancy in CMAT answer key, they can challenge it within the given time. NTA will release their final answer key of CMAT after taking into consideration the challenges created. With the assistance of CMAT answer key 2020; candidates will be able to assess the possible marks that they will be able to score.

CMAT Result

The result of CMAT will be declared by NTA 6th February. Candidates will be able to download the result by entering the required login details. CMAT result will be in the form of scorecard. The merit list of CMAT will be prepared on the basis of the result that has been declared. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination, they’ll be able to enter in the next round of selection.
